Hank, Matt, and Nathan are back this week as we continue through a busy stretch in the sports calendar. First our thoughts on the USMNT failing to qualify for the World Cup and watch it means to the country. 

We'll talk about last weekend's action in college and NFL and discuss where we stand in both. 

Then it's time for our survivor league picks. Both Matt and Hank lost in the same week so we'll pick again until we find a true winner. Needless to say this NFL season has been tricky. 

Nathan will give his thoughts on a survivor game he likes plus the Astros after they moved pass the ALDS. 

Finally some picks and analysis of the big games this coming weekend and some stories from Talladega past.

A busy time of the sports calendar and a great distillery to go with it. That's what Matt, Hank, and Nathan are talking about this week. 

We'll start with a recap of some of the football action last weekend and where we stand right now in the landscape of college and NFL. 

After that Nathan Moore drops by to talk survivor league picks and the Texans. Then Matt and Hank break down the MLB Divisional round and make our picks. 

After that a great interview with Tony Formby of Acre Distilling in Forth Worth. The Dallas-Ft. Worth area is the site of West Virginia/TCU Saturday and Green Bay/Dallas on Sunday. You'll love the history behind this place and it's a great place to check out while in town. 

We'll wrap it up with some college and NFL picks for the upcoming weekend and some brief thoughts on the start of the NHL season.

At 22:00 we round out our Tales of the Cocktail coverage with Joe Riggs of Redemption Whiskey. We're talking rye, bourbon, and some new products they have on the horizon. Plus some great information on the brand and the drinks themselves. 

After that we're back picking all the big games for the upcoming weekend. Some top 20 matchups in college plus a pair of unbeatens in the NFL.

Our one year anniversary! Thanks to everybody who has listened over the past year. We've met some great people and come across some great stories, and we hope you've enjoyed all of it.

Closing in on one year of the show! Matt and Hank are back this week recapping the first big weekend of college football and looking ahead to the top 15 matchups in week 2. 

Plus it's the start of the NFL season! We make our playoff picks for how it all ends at the Super Bowl, and break down a couple big games this weekend.

We're a week away from Tales of the Cocktail! Matt's out this week so the third member of our team fills in with Hank in this episode. 

We'll start this show with a great interview with Charlotte Voisey (4:15), the Director of Brand Advocacy for William Grant and Sons. She gives us a preview of WGS participation at Tales of the Cocktail, and also some great insight into the beverage industry and some of the recent trends. 

After that we're talking about a couple topics in the sports world centered around Houston. We'll discuss the reason for the Astros success so far this season (22:00), and what Chris Paul will mean for the Rockets (26:40). Nathan is based in Houston and will give us some context from the city. 

Then we'll talk craft beer. Nathan will give us some of his local brewery rankings, followed by describing what it takes to get started brewing your own beer at home. (35:00).  

Plus looking forward to a trip to try more beer in Granbury and Shiner, Texas (47:00).

Then we continue our big series previewing the NFL divisions. Today we examine the NFC north. We'll give you the keys for each team plus how we think they'll finish (27:00). 

Finally we'll wrap it up talking about some summer drinks. What's in our glass and also a rum you need to try this summer (51:00).
